This will serve as a car lift in my own home. I have installed it under a 10 foot ceiling. I wished I’d bought one of these 20 years ago.
The NT-9 is the cheapest lift one can buy, but it is more than adequate for my needs. No leaks, works just as it should with one exception; the lift arm locks don’t quite engage as they should, maybe they will work better over time.
I had to buy extra shims for my install, only a couple of shims are included. Installation is moderately easy. You will need a helper to stand up the columns and help maneuver the components. Instructions are available as PDF, but are vague as I think there are many production changes that the manual cannot address. You need a good hammer drill and bit. You will need to drill 14 clean 3/4 holes.
I had this delivered to a nearby freight depot and loaded on a trailer to bring to my home to unload in pieces. This was shipped quickly, I had it in a week.
Don’t let your 10 foot ceilings stop you from buying a lift; this works well.
